As the sun rises on this gathering of minds, we find ourselves at the crossroads of science and art, where knowledge meets compassion, and precision intertwines with care. It is with great pleasure and honor that I welcome you all to “RACE 2025”, the annual CME conducted by the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai, INDIA. Let this conference be more than just a meeting of minds; let it be a convergence of hearts where we explore the depths of our discipline and the heights of our compassion.
RACE is an acronym for Ramachandra Anesthesia Continuing Education, and this will be the successful 26th year of conducting it. It has been possible to walk this far due to exceptional patronage by the invited faculty, both national and international, and the enthusiasm of postgraduate anesthesiology graduates
This annual gathering has become a cornerstone of our shared commitment to advancing the field of anesthesia. We come together not only to exchange knowledge but also to inspire and be inspired by the profound impact our work has on patient care.
Over these three days, we will delve into the latest innovations, research, and best practices shaping the future of anesthesia. This conference is a testament to our collective dedication to excellence, safety, and patient-centered care. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner, a researcher, or a rising star in the field, your presence here is invaluable, and your contributions will undoubtedly enrich our discussions. The three days are intense, packed with lectures in basic sciences and clinical anesthesia, breakfast sessions, focus sessions, video sessions, How I Do it sessions, and exam-oriented case discussions by veteran examiners with hands-on workshops to complete the day. Then, we have the Quiz named after our Late Professor Vijaylakshmi Kamat, which promises an evening of fun with the prize money as the grand finale. To inspire research amongst the residents, we have a scientific paper presentation, with a prize for the best paper.
As we embark on this journey of learning and collaboration, let us also take a moment to reflect on the strides we have made and the challenges that lie ahead.
