Abstract Guidelines

*All abstracts submitted should be authorized with a letter from the head of the department.(Click to Download)- HOD Certificate.pdf can be downloaded and filled appropriately, and the scanned document/picture MUST be uploaded.

  • Abstract submission closes on 12th JANUARY 2025.
  • Any abstracts received after the deadline will not be accepted. We encourage you to send your abstract in advance to avoid a last-minute rush.
  • Incomplete studies without results in the abstract will not be accepted.
  • Both free paper/poster presentations are available.
  • Papers will be shortlisted through a peer process.
  • Selected papers and posters for online presentation will be intimated separately to candidates for submission of PowerPoint.
  • Rights of acceptance/rejection rests with the scientific committee.
  • Only the Best Paper presentation may be conducted in the SRIHER University auditorium.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Abstracts and/or data previously presented or published nationally or internationally are not allowed. Submission of an abstract is accepted so the presenter confirms nil conflict of interest.
  • Only postgraduates are eligible for presentation.
  • The presenting author must be mandatorily registered for the RACE 2025 conference.
  • Abstracts for Best Paper will be scored on Scientific merit, adequacy of sample size, proper statistical analysis, and Originality of work.

Language

  • All abstracts should be written in simple English.

Submission process:

  • Abstract submission will be entirely online through www.race2025.com website.
  • The first listed author will be the presenting author by default and the contact author for correspondence.
  • It is mandatory to furnish the presenter’s full name and professional address. The affiliation of all authors must be entered.

Word Count:

  • The abstract text should be restricted to 2500 characters (approx  250 words). The software will not let you type/paste beyond this word limit.

Font:

  • Abstract should be written in desired fields and the fonts will be selected by the system automatically.

Spelling and Grammar:

  • It is the author’s responsibility to submit a correct abstract. Any error in spelling, grammar, or scientific fact will be reproduced as typed by the author.

Abstract Draft

  • Sentences should not begin with numerals. Standard abbreviations may be used without definition.

WHAT SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE ABSTRACT?

FOR RESEARCH PAPER:

  • Title: To be complete, relevant, including relevant statistical terminology.
  • Introduction: To contain Background and Aims.
  • Methods: To mention Ethical Committee Permission, Patient Consent, Duration of Study, Inclusion-Exclusion Criteria, Sample Size, Calculation based on Power of Study, Randomization Technique, Statistical Tests used including p Values, Tests of Comparison and Version of Software used, Primary and Secondary Study Criteria clearly defined, Definitions of Grades, Scoring Systems, Confounding Variables and Limitations, if any, Rescue Techniques / Drugs.
  • Results: To begin with Demographics, Study Criteria / Parameters (Primary and Secondary), adverse/side effects.
  • Conclusion:  To be brief and relevant.
  • References: Two relevant references (ONLY TWO) to be added.

FOR CASE REPORT/CASE SERIES:

  • Title
  • Introduction
  • Case History
  • Discussion
  • Reference

Case reports/Case series will be for poster presentations only.

Each poster will be displayed in the allotted area in the SRIHER university auditorium.
